Alex Husner (previously Alex O'Neil) is a marketing strategist, podcast host, and lifelong equestrian whose work sits at the intersection of business, storytelling, and reinvention.

As a Fractional CMO and strategic advisor in the vacation rental industry, Alex has built a reputation for helping companies grow with intention—combining brand, content, and data-driven strategy to drive meaningful results. She is the co-host of the Alex & Annie podcast, ranked among the top hospitality podcasts globally, where she leads conversations with industry leaders on the future of business, technology, and leadership.

But her story starts long before boardrooms and conference stages—back in the barns of New Hampshire.

Alex grew up riding at Cricket Hill Farm, where she trained under Michael Richardson and Lisa Jensen, alongside fellow riders David and Kristen Cater. Those early years shaped not only her foundation as a rider, but her work ethic, discipline, and love for the sport that would stay with her—even during a decades-long break.

After more than 25 years away, Alex returned to the saddle with a new perspective—no longer chasing perfection, but embracing the process. Today, she rides at Meraki Farm with trainer Andrea Harry and recently purchased a 5-gaited colt from Northern Kiss Farm, Son of a Kiss, affectionately known as “Chapstick.”
